Here goes nothing. Emily blogged yesterday, so I am following in the footsteps of my "big" (even though she is so much smaller than me) sister. I stalk people's blogs like its my job, so I decided I miss blogging. Not like real blogging, but telling the world about my sillly and immature life. Its grand. Everyone should be jealous of it. ANYWAYS that leads me to the title of my post. I want to be part of this crazy blogging world. I don't really understand it, but I love it. Soo...can I join? Thanks :) This past weekend was my birthday and it was fabulous. I turned a whopping nineteen. woohoo!! One more year of this crazy teenage life. I was a little bit sad about it, and slumped around all morning, but decided growing up is fun!! (actually Robin decided for me...and told me to stop being sad) It is a little bit scary, but what else can you do? not grow up? I wish. For my birthday Kelsey and I went to the UVU soccer game in the morning. One of our friends is on the team soo it gave us a good excuse to be out in the sunshine. The sunshine that has not been my friend lately...its like utah hates the sun. or Mother nature hates utah. Either way, the forecast called for an orange ball on my birthday, so I was taking it as a present, and soaked up every last ray I possibly could. Thanks mr. sunshine. After the fun filled soccer game that I knew nothing about (its the one sport I just can't wrap my mind around) Kels and I went to Target. Only my favorite place in the ENTIRE world...(it seriously is up there is 3826 E. June, Carlsbad, and the Cabin) We went to purchase me a new book! I just read something borrowed and LOVED it. So much better than the movie. My mom told me she read all of the books by that author and liked them. That is great news to me. Because if I find an author I like, I read every single book by them and wait and pray till they write another. (Nicholas Sparks...can you start writing a little bit fast please?) Looking at the books nothing was really catching my eye, until I saw "Something Blue". Praise the Day, I LOVE SEQUELS!! I just started it, and not that I'm disappointed, but its not as jaw dropping fabulous as something borrowed. We will see though. I am only on chapter 4. After Target we went home to prepare for my little party we were having that night. I made the yuuuumiest cupcakes (they were so cute too, but I forgot to take a photo) and mini oreos ...with homemade cream cheese frosting I might add :) and Kels made the most bomb.com chocolate chip cookies. She rocks. We also had popsicles and Brittany made the most moist, delicious, divine, perfect chocolate cake. Seriously people, divine. You should all make it. The recipe is on basicbites.blogspot.com. After baking I started reading my book, took a nap, and smiled. It was my birthday and I was doing every single thing I loved. For dinner my family, kelsey and I went to Texas Road House for dinner. Only my new favorite restaurant. I love barbecue. I swear I was really suppose to grow up somewhere in the south, so I could eat pulled pork at gas stations. and for every single meal. mmmm I want some right now. Anyways, the dinner was superb, and extra fun. My cute sisters gave me the greatest gifts. Birt made me the most precious water color and gave me the white floppy hat I have been oohing and aahhing at for months now. Emily gave me a gold watch that I seeeeriously have been in LOVE with since christmas, my favorite nike dry fit running shorts, and a cutie necklace. They spoil me. Kelsey gave me the most precious thing too...the martha stewart cupcake carrier!! I love making cupcakes, but never have a convenient way to carry them. I love all of the gifts. Thanks girls :) OHHH I almost forgot about the cutest mini baby ipod my parents sent me! It is precious. Love it. Perfect for my new found love of running. Did I mention I started running? I'm not very good, and run as fast as a snail, but I kind of love it. best way to start my day :) So after din din, my friends came over, ate yummy treats, and partied. I have the greatest friends. I really do. I had such a fabulous birthday, thank you everyone who helped make it so great. I owe all of you a big one. Guess what i get to do THIS weekend?? GO HOME!! I love going home. Don't get me wrong, I love provo, but hoooommmmmeee. Oh how I love that word. and being there. Because my family is there, the sunshine is there, and did i say my family? oh how i miss them. So back to the beginning of this freakin novel of a post...even if I can't be welcomed to this blogging world, thats ok. This post is kind of long. Sorry....please forgive me? I hope you all have a fabulous day.
